jpnn.comBANDUNG – Persib Bandung was defeated by Borneo FC with a score of 0-1 in the second match of the President’s Cup at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Soreang, Bandung Regency, Monday (22/7).
The only goal was scored by Rosembergne Da Silva in the second half of extra time.
Against Borneo, who was the regular season champion last season, Persib was actually able to fight back. Several kicks resulted in chances, although they still failed to result in goals.
Despite the defeat, coach Bojan Hodak assessed that overall his team still played well. Moreover, this was a pre-season match ahead of the League 1 competition.

“I think it was a good game and it’s still early in the preseason. It was a good game but a bad result,” Hodak said in his post-match press conference.
The Croatian tactician assessed that tonight’s match would be fairer if it ended in a draw. Because both teams played aggressively and dangerously.
“I think we had more chances than Borneo, but I think a draw would be a fairer result. I’m also happy with our play in the first 60 minutes,” he said.
