WHILE, Waspada.co.id – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional North Sumatra (Sumbagut) has successfully completed the task force formed to support operational activities and distribution of aviation fuel during the 2024 Hajj flights.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut distributes avtur at several airports in North Sumatra (Sumut), Aceh, Riau Islands (Kepri) and West Sumatra (Sumbar). The distribution of avtur for hajj flights in the four regions is 30,813 Kilo Liters (KL) during the 2024 hajj flight period.

“The distribution of avtur during the 2024 hajj flight went safely and smoothly. We recorded the distribution of avtur of 30,813 KL in the Sumbagut region, including North Sumatra, Aceh, Riau Islands, and West Sumatra,” explained Area Manager Comm, Rel & CSR PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Susanto August Satria, Thursday (1/8).

The highest volume of avtur distribution for hajj flights is at Kualanamu Airport, North Sumatra, as much as 20,767 KL. Then followed by Hang Nadim Airport, Kepri with a total of avtur distribution of 6,053 KL, and 2,409 KL at Minangkabau Airport, West Sumatra and 1,584 KL at Iskandar Muda Airport, Aceh.

“It should be noted that the distribution of aviation fuel to support the Hajj flights took place from the departure phase on May 12 to June 10, 2024 and the return phase on June 22 to July 23, 2024,” he said.

Meanwhile, Regional Manager Corporate, Operation and Services (COS) Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Riki Madyanto added that his party together with the local government, airport authorities, airlines and other institutions are always coordinating regarding the operation of the 2024 Hajj flights, so that the implementation can run smoothly.

“In addition, Pertamina Patra Niaga also implements Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) aspects at all locations of the Sumbagut Aviation Fuel Terminal (AFT) so that AFT safety awareness can be increased and maintained during the 2024 Hajj flights,” he added.

“This is inseparable from the successful preparation and implementation in the field both in terms of internal and external coordination, avtur stock resilience, mobilization of facilities and infrastructure (sarfas) and operational manpower management policies at the AFT hajj embarkation Corporate Operation & Services (COS) Sumbagut,” he said.
