Football ‍Federation Takes Action Against Players Involved in Arequipa Fight

August ⁢10,‍ 2024 – In response to the⁢ recent ‍fight between players‌ of‍ Universitario ⁤and Melgar, the Peruvian Football Federation⁢ (FPF) has announced‍ disciplinary action ⁤against ​eight ⁣footballers⁢ involved.

The federation stated ‌that ​an‌ investigation found the​ players – Brian⁢ Blando, Pablo Lavandeira, Jefferson Cáceres, FBC Melgar, Aldo Corzo, Alex Valera, Aamet Calderón, Yuriel Celi, and⁤ Jorge Murrugarra – ⁢had violated league regulations during the incident following Merengue’s‌ victory in Series 1 2024.

The Disciplinary Commission has given the players a maximum of three days to present their defense and supporting evidence regarding the⁤ allegations.

Additionally, the Commission addressed the‌ issue ​of punctuality among referees and delegates, emphasizing the league’s demand for greater adherence to‍ their duties.
