Inside an old house on one side of the Plaza de Armas, sunlight illuminates a stained glass window that reveals the image of peasant residents who were affected by violence. It is the House of Memory of Huancavelica, in Peru, a space inaugurated on September 14 for the commemoration of people who disappeared during the period of violence from the years 1980 to 2000. The project has been possible thanks to the joint work of the family organizations, the Provincial Municipality of Huancavelica, the Swiss Embassy and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
