Peshawar High Court’s order not to arrest Judge Humayun Dilawar

(24 News) Peshawar High Court ordered the anti-corruption team not to arrest Special Judge Central 2 Islamabad Humayun Dilawar in the case of alleged occupation of government land in Bannu.

The land scandal case was heard in Peshawar High Court Bannu Bench, the lawyers of Judge Humayun Dilawar appeared in the court and challenged the FIR in the High Court. There is a record in the property department of Haji Dilawar Khan, a formal NOC was issued by the administration to build a residential colony on the land.

Lawyer Safai added that on September 9, an FIR was registered against Judge Humayun Dilawar, warrants were issued the next day, and the FIR was registered against PTI founder Imran Khan.

After hearing the arguments of the lawyer, the court issued an order to the anti-corruption team not to arrest Judge Humayun Dilawar.

It should be noted that the Judicial Magistrate had issued an arrest warrant for Judge Humayun Dilawar on the alleged occupation of government land in Bannu. There is an allegation of illegal acquisition, on the other hand, the Anti-Corruption Department says that between 1976 and 1980, 39 kanals of land were illegally acquired.

It should be noted that on August 5, 2023, Islamabad Court Judge Humayun Dilawar sentenced Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan to imprisonment and fine in the Tosha Khana case. He was suspended and ordered to be released on bail.
