“That’s why we don’t want the world to be divided into blocks again. And not only in Europe, but in many parts of the world, including on the other side of it, in Central America, there are many countries that would be particularly harmful if the world were divided into blocs again,” he emphasized.
“We are now entering into an alliance with these countries. We are building an alliance with the Central American states, which are specifically opposed to the blocking of the world, and are specifically interested in the upcoming period of world history being about connections and the freedom of world trade,” he added.
World trade and world economy
Péter Szijjártó also reported that the government has worked a lot in recent years to improve competitiveness, as a result of which Hungary, which is considered one of the most open economies in the world, has now risen to 33rd place in the world ranking in terms of export performance, which corresponds to 85 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP). yes.
Therefore, our fundamental interest is the freedom of world trade and the world economy. We are the meeting point of East and West in Europe, and in the same way, several of the Central American countries act as a connecting point between the Eastern and Western worlds.

He called Panama an excellent example of this, underlining that the maintenance of the Panama Canal is a fundamental interest from the point of view of the accessibility of world trade, without which the entire world economy would be in a very difficult situation, as a significant part of the east-west trade passes through here.
“Therefore, Panama was also interested in world trade remaining free, Panama also had a counter-interest in blocking the world,” he added.
He went on to explain that to prevent the blockade, peace and close trade relations are needed. “That is why, together with Panama, we are advocating for the peaceful settlement of security-type conflicts and the maintenance of unobstructed world trade,” he declared.
