Passengers escaped alive when a bomb was hurled at a bus belonging to a BJP leader from Tuticorin New Bus Station to Coimbatore. In connection with this incident, DIG Nelli Charaka and District Superintendent of Police, Tuticorin, have ordered to quickly nab the escaped criminals. A private bus belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party’s OBC team state vice-president Ramesh, which can go to Coimbatore from Tiruchendur area of Tuticorin district, arrived at Tuticorin New Bus Station from Tiruchendur at regular departure time.

From there, the miscreants on a two-wheeler hurled a petrol bomb at the bus which was standing at Tuticorin New Bus Station, ready to go to Coimbatore, after loading the vans. Fortunately, more than 30 passengers in the bus escaped with their lives, and the police in Vadabhag have registered a case and are investigating the case filed by BJP leader Ramesh, the owner of the bus.
Also regarding this incident, DIG Praveshkumar and Tuticorin District Superintendent of Police Dr. Balaji Saravanan visited and investigated the incident and ordered the immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the incident. A petrol bomb was thrown at a private bus belonging to a Bharatiya Janata Party leader carrying passengers in Tuticorin.
