Fortunately, more than 30 passengers in the bus escaped with their lives, and the police in Vadabhag have registered a case and are investigating the case filed by BJP leader Ramesh, the owner of the bus.

Also regarding this incident, DIG Praveshkumar and Tuticorin District Superintendent of Police Dr. Balaji Saravanan visited and investigated the incident and ordered the immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the incident. A petrol bomb was thrown at a private bus belonging to a Bharatiya Janata Party leader carrying passengers in Tuticorin.
