The price of petrol, diesel and cooking gas cylinders is on the rise across the country. In Dindigul district today petrol is being sold at Rs 110.24 a liter and diesel at Rs 100.32 a liter. The cooking gas cylinder sells for Rs 992.

Struggles on behalf of various parties and organizations are taking place across the country following the daily increase in petrol, diesel and cooking gas cylinder prices. In that regard, a protest was held in front of the Dindigul District Collector’s Office on behalf of the Marxist Communist Party condemning the Central Government.

Union Secretary Ajay Jose led the protest. The protesters chanted slogans against the federal government, condemning the rise in petrol and diesel cooking gas cylinder prices.

In addition, women protested by blowing horns and chanting bells for two-wheelers and cooking cylinders. The demonstration was attended by party executives and many others.
