Uruguayan coach Paolo Cesar Pezzolano will be the new coach of Valladolid, the Spanish club announced in a statement on Tuesday evening, which had sacked José Rojo “Pacheta” on Monday.
«Real Valladolid have their new coach. This is Paulo César Pezzolano Suarez, who will lead the first team until June 30, 2024.“Said the Valladolid club in a press release.
It will be the first La Liga experience for Pezzolano, who began his coaching career in Uruguay (Torque in 2016-2017 and Liverpool FC in 2018-2019), then joined Mexican club CF Pachuca between 2019 and 2021. The 39-year-old technician recently officiated on the Cruzeiro bench, in Brazil.
In Valladolid, his mission will be to keep the club in the first division. The club chaired by Ronaldo Nazario is currently in 16th place in La Liga, one point from the first relegation zone.
