Thirteen people were arrested in an operation by the PF (Federal Police) It’s from public ministry against Jogo do Bicho, this Friday, 1st, at Rio de Janeiro. The addresses were linked to members of a criminal organization, which had previously been denounced by the Public Ministry. Prisoners are investigated for the crimes of homicide, passive corruption and illegal possession of a firearm. The group was led by a banker from the jogo do bicho. According to the PF, the action is a result of another operation launched in December last year, three criminal centers – subordinated to the same bicheiro – have control of the gambling monopoly and exploitation of clandestine bingos on Ilha do Governador, Niterói, São Gonçalo and in Espírito Santo.
