Pfizer anti-covid pill, EU authorizes it

The European Commission today authorized the use of Pfizer’s anti-Covid drug Paxlovid * in the European Union, following yesterday’s recommendation from the European Medicines Agency Ema. This was announced by the European Commissioner for Health Stella Kyriakides, via social media. It is, he adds, “a fundamental step in bringing the most promising drugs available to citizens” and a “second line of defense against the pandemic, after vaccination”.
