Pfizer, in the USA authorized vaccine for 12-15 year olds

by time news

The Food and Drug Administration has authorized the Pfizer vaccine in the US for the 12-15 age group. The Washington post writes it on Twitter. The green light was expected for a few days, after Pfizer announced the results of its trial on adolescents, showing that the vaccine is at least as effective in that age group as it is in adults. Vaccinating the youngest is also the key to increasing the level of herd immunity and reducing the number of hospitalizations and deaths. The OK from the FDA now opens the vaccination campaign to millions of other Americans.
