P&G Health Launches New Campaign for World Diabetes Day 2023
In honor of World Diabetes Day 2023, P&G Health has announced the launch of a new campaign aimed at raising awareness about the relationship between diabetes and pre-diabetes with peripheral neuropathy and vitamin B deficiency. The campaign, #KnowtheSigns, seeks to educate consumers and health professionals about the early detection and treatment of these conditions, with the goal of improving the quality of life for those affected.
Recent data presented by P&G Health has revealed that up to 46% of the Thai population is at risk of developing peripheral neuropathy, a condition caused by nerve damage that affects daily life and comfort. The company also highlighted the fact that diabetes is the main cause of diabetic neuropathy, with Thailand experiencing a prevalence of diabetes of approximately 9.7% in 2021, affecting an estimated 6.1 million people.
The campaign also aims to shed light on the fact that other causes of peripheral neuropathy include the use of certain diabetes medications, medicine for gastritis, consumption of a vegetarian diet, and regular alcohol consumption. P&G Health has provided a self-evaluation form for individuals to easily check their symptoms and seek timely diagnosis and treatment.

He highlighted the importance of increasing awareness among patients and medical personnel to improve outcomes and quality of life.
