The exhibition was inaugurated Thursday in a gallery in the center of the Argentine capital in the presence of a large audience including diplomats, artists and academics.

These are around thirty photos taken by seven Argentinian photographers who undertook a 15-day journey through around ten Moroccan cities to give free rein to their creativity.

Cameras hung around their necks or slung over their shoulders and their index fingers on the shutter, the seven photographers traveled across Morocco to immortalize scenes of ordinary life on view from Thursday until the 23rd in Buenos Aires.

Led by Gabriel Bernardo Aldazabal, director of a photography school that bears his name, the group of photographers set themselves the goal of revealing, through this well-crafted artistic work, “the enchantment of Morocco and its people “.

The Kingdom’s ambassador to Argentina, Fares Yassir, wanted to thank the “seven detectives who love photography” who today exhibit the magic exuded by the ten cities visited in Morocco.

Fares Yassir spoke in this context of the attraction exerted on foreign visitors by the economic, social and cultural dynamism of Morocco and which “leaves no one indifferent”, even less journalists and photographers.

For his part, Aldazabal affirmed that he and his group decided to “immerse themselves” in the daily life of the people of Morocco, far from tourist clichés.

In this trip organized by his photography school, these seven snapshot lovers said they were invaded by the “colors, smells and flavors” of Morocco, which offers an ideal setting for taking captivating and highly artistic photos.

In addition to Aldazabal, the group included photographers Cecilia Gutiérrez, Veronica Dietz, Fernanda Bustos, Elba Bustos, Mauro Barba and Raul Alvarez.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, they shared with the public their experiences and the circumstances surrounding the taking of the photographs, saying they were very touched by the kindness of the people they met during their wanderings in Morocco.

Although the exhibition is collective, the selected photos transmit “this sensation, this impact and this culture captured through the zooms of our cameras, each oriented towards a personal and different point of view”, they were keen to emphasize.

This intimate point of view of each of the seven photographers is perceptible through the photos exhibited which range from the Roman ruins of Volubilis to the sand dunes in the heart of the Moroccan Sahara, via the tanneries of Fez, the tea ceremony, the stalls of fruits or the captivating landscape of the douars clinging to the side of the mountains.

At the end of last March, another exhibition highlighted the city of Chefchaouen through around twenty snapshots invaded by a bright blue, taken by the Argentinian photographer Dario Puebla.

The photos of this Argentinian photographer depict scenes from daily life in Chefchaouen and its almost “mystical” landscapes.

Through his photographs, Dario Puebla leads the visitor through the bowels of the city to get to know its little people, its children, its women, its street vendors and even its street animals.
