Photography encounters: Arles makes its cinema

It is sometimes difficult to find oneself in the jungle of exhibitions at the Rencontres de la photographie d’Arles. While the Avignon Festival has just lowered its curtain, its neighbor continues at its own pace to attract photo fans from all over the world (of the 19,500 visitors in the first week of July, 40% were foreigners) to travel in the 45 exhibitions on the program for this 2023 edition, which runs until the end of September.
