Photometria in Motion for the 8th consecutive year

The Photometria International Photography Festival returns for its 17th year, kicking off the Photometria in Motion motion picture competition.


In the 8th consecutive year of the competition and with the aim of highlighting new ways of exploiting the image, artists are invited to submit their work in the Animation, Video Art, Short Films and Documentary categories.
Submission of projects will last until September 30, 2024. The project submission periods are divided as follows: August 1–20 €5, August 21 – September 10 €15 and September 11-30 €25.
The participants are requested to electronically submit free-form project(s), which must be downloadable, with a maximum duration of 20′, as well as a short descriptive text of the project. If the official spoken language is not Greek, then there should also be, embedded, English subtitles.

The selection of the projects will be made by Panagiotis Papoutsis, Danai Agnanti, Vassilis Doublis and Maria Anestopoulou, based on the relevance of the description of the idea to its execution. The selected works will be presented, within the framework of the upcoming event, at places and dates to be announced.
The results will be announced on April 15, 2025 on the festival’s website (www.photometria.gr) and on social media, while the creators of the selected works will also be informed via e-mail. The projects that will be selected will be presented in 2025, in the screening program.
