(ANSA) – TURIN, MARCH 30 – Orange alert for avalanche risk in Piedmont in the mountain areas of Toce, Valsesia, Valle Cervo and Valchiusella. In light of the ARPA Piedmont bulletin, the Region’s Civil Protection operations room will be open from 4pm today to monitor the situation and arrange interventions if necessary. The bulletin also provides a yellow alert for avalanches in the other Alpine sectors. From tomorrow the alert will be yellow due to hydrogeological risk in the Alpine arc and the plains, as today an intensification of rainfall is expected especially in northern Piedmont and tomorrow a second phase of rainfall concentrated in the north and in the southern Alpine sectors, concomitant with an intensification of the wind in all southern and alpine sectors. The Piedmont Region invites citizens to pay particular attention if they decide to travel in mountain areas. (HANDLE).
