MONACO – Pierre Gasly has extended his contract wiht Alpine, committing his future to the Formula 1 team through the end of the 2028 season.

The 29-year-old French driver, who has one Grand Prix victory to his name, joined the Renault-owned team in 2023.As than, he has secured two podium finishes for Alpine. This contract extension underscores a significant vote of confidence from executive director Flavio Briatore, who was not with the team when Gasly initially signed on.

Gasly’s journey to Alpine began after a stint with Red Bull’s junior team,then known as AlphaTauri,where he achieved his maiden Grand Prix win at the Italian Grand Prix in 2020.
