by time news

Police custody for “homicide and involuntary injuries” of Pierre Palmade was extended this Thursday noon. The 54-year-old comedian was transferred Wednesday to Melun hospital (Seine-et-Marne) where he was heard. The question of a possible placement in pre-trial detention of the artist will then arise since he faces between 7 and 10 years in prison.

Six days after the serious road accident involving Pierre Palmade, the comedian told investigators that he had “very few memories” of the accident, according to a source close to the investigation. It does not provide details at this stage on the reasons for the swerve. He only said he remembered leaving his house with the two passengers he was partying with.

The accident involving Pierre Palmade took place around 7 p.m. on Friday on the D372 near Villiers-en-Bière, in the south of Seine-et-Marne. The car of the comedian, who was driving under the influence of cocaine, collided with another vehicle which was coming in front. In addition to Pierre Palmade, three people were seriously injured, including a 6-year-old child and a 27-year-old pregnant woman who lost her baby.

Two men, his alleged passengers, were also taken into custody. They had been seen by witnesses fleeing after the accident. One of the suspects was arrested and taken into custody on Wednesday morning. It is a 34-year-old man of Moroccan nationality, Mohcine EA, identified by the police of Melun after investigations, in particular by telephone, on the contacts of Pierre Palmade. The second went in turn on Wednesday to the Melun police station. According to our information, it is Sambou G., a 34-year-old man, of French nationality, known for drug-related crimes.
