While the world is watching the news that a genetically modified pig’s heart has been tested in humans, the doctor who performed the same surgery a quarter of a century ago is in Assam. Dr. Dhani Ram Barua, a 32 – year – old doctor, implanted a pig’s heart in 1997. The patient, Purno Psyche, who lived for about a week, later died. The doctor who performed the illegal surgery was arrested.

The 72-year-old Dr. Barua has lost the ability to speak after undergoing brain surgery 6 years ago. But relatives and former colleagues say the doctor is happy with the experiment at the Maryland School of Medicine.

Dr. was a young man with a large hole in his heart. Performed by Barua Experimental Surgery. He is an FRCS graduate from England and is a cardiac surgeon from Hong Kong. The experiment was conducted with the help of Jonathan Hoe.

Police arrested both doctors when the patient died following an infection. Both were released on bail. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a research center 20 km from Guwahati. Barua, who had a bad reputation as a lizard, soon became popular again.
