A pileup between six cars (GM Cobalt, Honda Fit, VW Polo, Fiat Uno, Fiat Siena and Citroen C4) and a Fiat Strada SUV was recorded at km 79 of the Bandeirantes highway, heading inland, in Itupeva, at 6:12 pm on Friday fair, July 7th.
According to the concessionaire, the vehicles were traveling along the interior lane, when for reasons to be clarified, there was a pileup. After the collisions, the vehicles remained between lanes 1 and 2 and the median.
In the GM Cobalt were two people who suffered minor injuries. In the other vehicles, the drivers left unharmed.
For the concessionaire’s teams and the Highway Military Police to act, lanes 1 and 2 and the shoulder were blocked at 6:12 pm. Lane 2 was released at 20:21 and lane 1 and the shoulder were released at 21:02.
The peak of congestion was 11 km.
