The ICR continues to investigate a criminal case on the fact of an aircraft accident in the Irkutsk region, which occurred on September 12 at 23:15 local time (18:15 Moscow time). As a result of a hard landing of an aircraft performing a joint combined flight of Siberian Light Aviation and Aeroservice airlines on the Irkutsk-Kazachinskoye route, four people out of 16 passengers and crew members were killed. The East Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office, whose representative is at the crash site, in a conversation with Kommersant, clarified that both flight recorders were found at the scene of the incident. The department also conducts its own check on the fact of what happened.

The ownership of the aircraft has also become known – according to the portal Russianplanes.net, the aircraft with tail number RA-67042 was the property of the Aviaservice operator, which was founded by the SiLA airline. The board was manufactured in 2014 and since that time has performed regional flights in the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Irkutsk Region.

The Aviaservice airline told Kommersant that the crashed plane was on a mutual reservation with the SiLA company. Rostransnadzor intends to check the activities of Aeroservice on an unscheduled basis. Three of them were later evacuated to the Irkutsk regional hospital by air ambulance helicopter, one person was released home, another woman was operated on on the spot. Doctors are waiting for her condition to improve to be sent to the regional center.

The Governor of the Irkutsk Region Igor Kobzev in his Instagram account announced the amount of material aid payments to the families of the victims and the injured. Relatives of the victims – 1 million rubles each, victims in serious condition – 500 thousand rubles each, on average – 250 thousand rubles each, in light – 100 thousand rubles each. The head of the region also said that on Wednesday, September 15, a day of mourning will be declared in the Irkutsk region.
