In the course of ongoing operational activities, officers of the ONiPTL of the Pinsk GOVD detained a 43-year-old unemployed resident of Pinsk who kept a particularly dangerous narcotic drug methadone with a dry liquid residue of about 5 grams.
The operatives found out that the man was registered in a narcological dispensary, where he was treated under the opioid substitution therapy program, where patients receive methadone as the main drug.
When receiving the drug in liquid form for oral administration, a Pinsk resident, secretly from medical workers, poured it into a special device hidden under outerwear.
In a conversation with law enforcement officers, the man admitted his guilt, explaining that he sold the methadone taken out of the territory of the narcological dispensary to his acquaintances.
The actions of the person involved were given a legal assessment by the investigators. A criminal case has been initiated. Measures are being taken to identify the persons who purchased the drug.
