An illustrated and dark ‘Pinocchio’ proposed by Matteo Garrone in his latest film in which the images overwhelm everything, even the same story by Carlo Collodi. Or, at least, they highlight the evocative, symbolic character of what appears in this full initiatory fable. The film has been in theaters since December 19th. “We will take you to a magical world,” promises the director.
