“Pioneering schools”: Mr. Benmoussa visits several establishments in Boulemane
Boulemane – The Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa, visited, on Tuesday, several educational establishments that have joined the “Pioneer Schools” program in the province of Boulemane.
This visit, which concerned three establishments under the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Fez-Meknes, takes place within the framework of the preparations for the start of the 2024/2025 school year and the continued implementation of the 2022-2026 roadmap for a quality public school for all. The visit aims to focus on the preparations for the start of the 2024/2025 school year at the pioneer schools and the measures taken for the launch this year of the “Pioneer Colleges” project according to a participatory methodology involving all stakeholders in the education system and taking into account innovative educational and pedagogical approaches, promoting the strengthening of students’ capacities and allowing the reduction of the school dropout rate. On this occasion, the Minister visited the 3 March College in the commune of Guigou, one of the 230 public educational establishments involved in the “Pioneer Colleges” project. Mr. Benmoussa received explanations on the various facilities of the establishment, strengthened by the creation of four classrooms, as part of the improvement of reception conditions and the creation of an attractive study climate. The establishment also benefited from new digital, sports and educational equipment. Subsequently, the Minister visited the Lalla Khadija Community School, which is part of a project making these establishments one of the pillars of the social support program to which the 2022-2026 roadmap attaches great importance, in the sense that they contribute to strengthening equal opportunities and combating school dropout. The visit also concerned the central school of Boulemane in the commune of Boulemane, which is among the establishments involved in this project, which will be expanded during this school year to 2,000 pioneer primary education establishments with a view to its generalization in the coming years. These establishments will benefit from rehabilitation efforts by equipping them with innovative technical and educational equipment likely to contribute to improving the level of mastery in terms of learning among students. In a statement to the press, Mr. Benmoussa indicated that this visit is part of the preparations for the 2024/2025 school year, which is scheduled to launch next week, adding that the objective is to ensure the success of the start of the school year. The visit allowed to focus on the efforts to rehabilitate certain dependencies, particularly within pioneering establishments with regard to educational equipment, digitalization and extracurricular activities with the aim of improving the quality of learning in public schools. The minister also welcomed the great mobilization of administrative and educational executives and local authorities in the different regions of the Kingdom to make the next school year a success. For his part, the director of AREF of Fez-Meknes, Fouad Rouadi stressed that this visit comes for the launch of the “Pioneer Colleges” project, which will be tested this year, adding that the trip made it possible to note the needs for an optimal reception of students on September 4.
