New information is coming to light about the actions of the 43-year-old from Patras who was arrested on his own accord after a trap set for him by the father of a 13-year-old girl.
The minor informed her father, who, pretending to be her, arranged a meeting with the 43-year-old at his friend’s house in Keratsini. There the 43-year-old was immobilized by the Immediate Action police officers called by the girl’s father.
The Youtuber, Alexandros Kopsialis, through his video revealed the operation in which the 43-year-old man was arrested who was trapped by the father of a minor while trying to meet with her. YouTuber Alexandros Kopsialis had a role in the operation, as he contacted the police to handle the case after first contacting the minor’s father in order to set the trap for the 43-year-old from Patras.
In the video, Kopsialis describes how, with the help of the little girl’s father and the police, the 43-year-old was trapped. He states that he was informed by the father of the little girl that a female profile persisted in sending messages of obscene content to the little girl through Instagram. In one of the lewd videos, his face was clearly visible.
“I was surprised and alarmed,” he says, and the first thought was to react violently. “Then I composed myself, let’s see how we can catch him”, he points out. We didn’t think he would start from the province by KTEL at dawn, he says, while adding that the 43-year-old wanted to ensure that the meeting with the girl would take place in such a way that no one would see them.
As described by Alexandros Kopsialis and the father, they agreed with the police about the entrapment. The appointment was made at a specific time and in an apartment where the police were waiting, as well as Kopsialis with a camera. The man actually arrived from Patras, as reported by the police, to Piraeus to meet the 13-year-old. The operation was organized in such a way that once he entered the apartment it was impossible for him to get out or escape. But everyone was anxious about how the man, who could even be armed, would react.
He reached home and was arrested there, although he tried to run away. The police officers explained to him that a complaint had been filed by the girl’s father so the prescribed procedure must be followed.
In fact, in the backpack he had with him were found erotic aids and women’s underwear, material with his conversations with the girl, as well as obscene videos and photos. Kopsialis explains why they took this action at the end of the video: To prevent abnormal persons from meeting with minors and to encourage children in similar cases “to talk to someone older about how to handle the case”.
The police announcement about the arrest of the 43-year-old
According to the announcement of EL.AS: “In particular, the 43-year-old, who lives in the area of Patras, using a social networking application, managed to get in touch with a minor with the ultimate aim of satisfying his sexual urges.
The minor, however, informed her father, who, pretending to be her, arranged a meeting with the 43-year-old at a house in the Piraeus area, where he was stopped by emergency police officers.
He was then taken to the Security Department of Keratsini – Drapetsonas, where he was arrested while a backpack containing erotic aids – accessories, as well as a data storage device (usb stick) with snapshots of the conversations with the minor, photos and videos of obscene content were confiscated.
From the subsequent searches, carried out by police officers of the Patras Security Sub-Directorate in the house and in his vehicle, among other things, digital data storage devices with corresponding content were found and confiscated.
