PJF workers take over the platform of the Congress of Yucatan

by times news cr

Following the approval of the Judicial Branch Reform by the Lower House, workers of the Federal Judicial Branch in Yucatan took over the Highest Tribune of the State Congress. The protesters, after protesting near the United States Consulate in Merida, stormed the local legislative headquarters.

Protesters carrying banners and placards forced the suspension of the regular session scheduled for Wednesday, but legislators decided to suspend the session until 5 p.m.

The protesters pointed out that this has been an interference in the affairs of this state power through an initiative that came from the federal executive, so they announced that they will go to international bodies to have their complaints heard.

It is worth remembering that a few days ago these workers protested in front of the State Family Courts to ask the workers to join their movement and they also demonstrated at the entrance to the fiscal dock of the Deepwater Port in Progreso.
