They initially visited KH Zamzami Mahrus at the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School in Kediri. In the meeting, Kiai Zamzami hoped that the conflict between PBNU and PKB would soon be resolved.

According to him, PBNU has no right to interfere in PKB affairs as a political party protected by the constitution.

Due to the conflict triggered by the maneuvers of PBNU General Chairman Yahya Cholil Staquf (Gus Yahya) and Secretary General Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), the NU structure became restless. Because, what the PBNU elite did was considered to violate NU’s khitah as a social organization.

“If it’s like this, PBNU itself is deviating from its principles not to engage in practical politics. What was done today clearly violates NU’s principles,” said Kiai Zamzami, quoted from the PKB Syura Council press release, Monday (19/8).

From Kediri, the structural cleric of PKB visited Kiai Asep Saifuddin Chalim in Surabaya. The visit could not be separated from the turmoil in the relationship between PKB and the top leadership of PBNU which has recently heated up.
