jpnn.comJAKARTA – The National Awakening Party (PKB) said it personally invited Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) figures to attend the party congress on 24-25 August 2024 in Bali.

However, Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the PKB Congress, Zainul Munasichin, was reluctant to answer regarding the invitation for the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) to attend his party’s congress.

“For the leaders of community organizations, because this event is a political party event, of course those we invite are those whose domain is the domain of political parties,” said Zainul at the PKB DPP Office, Jakarta, Monday (12/8).

Meanwhile, he explained that the participants of the PKB Congress were delegates from the Branch and Regional Leadership Councils (DPC and DPW), administrators of the Central Leadership Council, and leaders of the party’s autonomous bodies at the central level.

Prayer said that around 5,500 people will attend the PKB Congress.

“However, because this congress is the highest forum for administrators and members of the National Awakening Party, of course we invite all parties to attend and enliven our congress event held once every five years,” he said.

Previously, the Chairman of the PKB Congress Steering Committee, Faisol Riza, said that his party had decided to hold the congress on 24-25 August 2024 in Bali.

“All preparations have been completed, and it has also been conveyed to all DPW (regional management board)-DPC (branch management board) administrators regarding the implementation of the congress on August 24-25,” said Faisol at the PKB DPP Office, Jakarta, Friday (9/8).

PKB confirmed that it will continue to invite NU figures to the implementation of the Mukatamar in Bali.
