“Levski” sold goalkeeper Plamen Andreev to the Dutch giant “Feyenoord”, both clubs announced.

The 19-year-old footballer has signed a contract until the summer of 2029 with the team from Rotterdam, and the transfer fee was not officially announced. Media in Bulgaria and the Netherlands, however, speculate that the “blues” will collect around 1.2 million euros for the rights of their teenager.

Andreev, winner of the Bulgarian Cup in 2022 and the best young footballer in the efbet League for the next season, will wear number 21 in the team in which the legend of “Slavia” Andrey Zhelyazkov, a teammate of the great Dutchman Johan Cruyff, also played.

“I am extremely happy with this transfer and I am motivated to succeed here. The trust Feyenoord has shown me means a lot to me. The last years have flown by quickly for me and this transfer is a reward for everything I have done. I want to develop as a goalkeeper and a person , and a big club like Feyenoord gives me the opportunity to achieve that,” he was quoted as saying on his new team’s website.

The “Levski” youngster made his debut in the blue shirt on May 23, 2021. He recorded 89 matches in all competitions for the “blues”, in which he made 53 “dry” nets. Since the beginning of the new season, Andreev has played five matches, in four of which he did not concede a goal.

“The management, sports and technical staff, footballers and employees of PFC “Levski” thank Plamen Andreev for his high professionalism, dedication and wonderful moments with the blue team. We wish him good health, personal and professional success”, the “blue” club wrote .
