The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced, on Friday, a plan to open colleges and create some specializations during the coming period.
The ministry’s spokesman, Haider Al-Aboudi, told the (INA): “The ministry is proceeding according to a vision and calculated steps, based on a national strategy for education in Iraq, the government program, and the ministerial curriculum.”
He pointed out that “there is a plan to open colleges and create some specializations during the coming period, which are in line with the developments in academic knowledge in the world.”
He added, “Iraq has become part of the global education environment, especially after the adoption of the Bologna Process and the launch of the (Study in Iraq) program, and after Iraqi universities in human medicine specializations obtained international accreditation.”
He pointed out that “all this data requires updating the infrastructure and updating the educational process in accordance with new knowledge developments.”
