The Ministry of Oil revealed, on Monday, plans to boost the standard of petroleum derivatives produced in Iraq and set up models to provide high-octane gasoline in Baghdad and Basra.

The Deputy Minister of Oil for Refining Affairs, Hamid Al-Zubaie, informed the (INA): “The ministry not too long ago succeeded in elevating the manufacturing of tremendous gasoline within the northern refinery to three million and 500 thousand liters by working a CCR unit with a capability of three,500 cubic meters per day, and with octane (98).”
He added, “This achievement was made after finishing the rehabilitation of the Northern Refinery, and now it has been topped by finishing the operation of the CCR unit within the refinery,” explaining, “This unit is taken into account the primary of its sort for the CCR system to be operated in Iraqi refineries.”
He added, “The operation of this unit and the manufacturing of three.5 million liters of high-octane gasoline per day comes throughout the plan that meets the continued want to enhance the standard of the produced petroleum merchandise,” indicating that “there’s a plan to put in such models within the Dora refinery in Baghdad and the Basra refineries in addition to the FCC models,” noting that “all of those models are a part of the plan to improve and lift the standard of petroleum derivatives produced in Iraq.”
