PlayStation Plus Collection games are here to stay

by time news

Following Sony’s announcement of the new PlayStation Plus slots that are its answer to Microsoft’s Game Pass service, with the more expensive slots giving access to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 game library, many subscribers feared this game library would be canceled Buyers of Sony’s new console have access to the PlayStation Plus Collection, a collection of more than 20 great titles launched for the PlayStation 4.

It seems that existing subscribers who decide not to upgrade the subscription and stay in the most basic rank – PlayStation Plus Essential – will still enjoy access to the collection. Sony stated in IGN that “PlayStation Collection is not going anywhere. This will remain a benefit for subscribers with a PlayStation 5 console”.

However there may be an overlap between the games offered in the Collection and those offered in the game library like God Of War which has already been announced to be included in the library given to Extra and Premium subscribers.
