jpnn.com – JAKARTA – Member of the Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) August Mellaz said that Hasyim Asy’ari’s family was not part of the case of the code of ethics violation committed by the KPU Chairman who was dismissed by the Election Organizer Honorary Council (DKPP).

Therefore, August requested that the case of Hasyim, who was dismissed in connection with an alleged immoral case, not be linked to his family.

“We ask our media friends, if possible, to limit Mr. Hasyim’s affairs with the DKPP decision to Mr. Hasyim. Don’t bring it to his family, this kind of situation is not right,” said August Mellaz at the KPU RI Office, Jakarta, Friday (5/7).

August stated this because according to him, the KPU found quite a lot of news that dragged Hasyim’s family into it.

“The wife and children are not part of what should be the problem, but if you pay attention to the news, of course we ask for generosity,” he said.

He also said that the Hasyim family has a private area that should not be disturbed.

“Never mind, the position is that the DKPP’s decision already exists. Of course, we must respect it, but the excuse from there, for example, is exposing the family and all sorts of things, they have personal rights that must not be touched,” he said.

August Mellaz emphasized that the KPU still respects the DKPP’s decision.
