jpnn.comBELITUNG – President Director of PT PLN ICON Plus Ari Rahmat Indra Cahyadi said that the provision of fiber optic (FO) networks in the capital city of the archipelago, East Kalimantan, is almost complete.

According to him, currently the provision of fiber optic networks has reached 90 percent.

“The fiber optic network in the IKN is currently 90 percent complete,” said Ari after the Media Discussion event at the Swissbel Resort Hotel, Belitung, Monday (22/7).

Ari said that his party is always ready to build these facilities in the new capital city, but must adjust to the tunnel infrastructure from other providers.

However, the tunnel is currently available so that the provision of fiber optic networks continues to be accelerated.

“So, we can be optimistic about the fiber optic connection from the PLN group to make August 17 a success in the IKN,” he said.

Previously, PLN Icon Plus was officially selected as the provider of shared telecommunications infrastructure in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN).

Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure of the IKN Authority (OIKN) Silvia Halim said that the BUMN was selected on a limited basis in 2023 to become a provider of fiber optic (FO) networks and base transceiver station (BTS) towers for the IKN Core Government Center Area (KIPP) 1A.

Ari Rahmat Indra Cahyadi said that the provision of fiber optic (FO) networks in the capital city of the archipelago, East Kalimantan, is almost complete.
