Artisans like hand sculptors, barbers, stone carvers and flower garland makers are very happy to join this scheme. They have also been given beneficiary cards under the scheme. The government started this scheme in 2023. Let us tell you, PM Vishwakarma Yojana was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2023. The government’s objective behind starting this scheme was to strengthen the people doing small business financially, so that they can increase the size of their small business. Along with this, new employment opportunities should also be created.

Artisans from Gaya, Patna and Muzaffarpur expressed their views

Artisans from Gaya, Patna, Muzaffarpur in Bihar talked about the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. Dhiraj Kumar, a resident of Gaya district, said that he shapes statues from stone and wood. Before the PM Vishwakarma Yojana came into effect, he used to take some money from home and work according to his capacity. Working financially was a challenge. But, after the introduction of this scheme, we will expand our work.

Lakhinder Singh Thakur, who came from Muzaffarpur, said that PM Vishwakarma Yojana is very beneficial for us. He works as a barber. With this scheme, business can be done by investing less capital. There was no such scheme in the previous governments. Danapur artisan Sachcha Lal Yadav said that he is associated with this scheme. It will be very good if we get a loan from the government.

Maliram Bhagat said that he makes flower garlands. He also teaches people how to make flowers. Loans have been provided for making garlands. This scheme of PM is very good. Earlier there was no such scheme. PM has taken us forward through this scheme.

Anand Mohan, a resident of Bakhtiyarpur and a clay idol maker, said that he has benefited a lot from the Vishwakarma Yojana. The training given under this scheme has improved our work. During the training, we have been trained about online shopping.

What is PM Vishwakarma Yojana?

PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card are provided to artisans, craftsmen etc. coming under PM Vishwakarma Yojana. Registration for this is free. People registering under this scheme will not only be given training, but they will also be able to take loans at low interest rates. After the training is over, 15 thousand rupees will also be given to buy tools. Apart from this, first 1 lakh rupees will be given at 5 percent interest, then if needed, a loan of two lakh rupees will be given in the second installment.

How to apply?

Step-1: First of all go to the official website for PM Vishwakarma Yojana pmvishwakarma.gov.in. Register here using your mobile number and Aadhar card.
Step-2: Then verify your mobile number and Aadhar card through OTP authentication.
Step-3: After the verification process, you will have to fill the registration form. In which you will have to enter the name, address and business related information etc. After this, submit the registration form.
Step-4: Then you can download the digital ID and Vishwakarma Yojana certificate.
Step-5: After this, login to PM Vishwakarma Yojana Portal using the credentials. If you want, you can apply for different scheme components on the portal. Then you have to upload the documents here as per the scheme details.
Step-6: After this the application form has to be submitted for consideration.
Step-7: Now the officials will verify your received application. After the verification process is completed, you will be able to get the loan.
