PM’s security personnel pull son Aditya Thackeray out of Uddhav’s car

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya Thackeray’s son was taken out of his car by security officials on Tuesday. The SPG, which is in charge of security for the Prime Minister, said Aditya Thackeray was not on the list of VIPs to receive the Prime Minister in Mumbai. Aditya is the Minister for Tourism and Environment in Maharashtra.

The Maharashtra Chief Minister was reportedly upset over the decision to drop Aditya out of the car and had an argument with security officials. Uddhav told SPG officials that Aditya Thackeray is not only his son but also a Maharashtra cabinet minister. Later, Aditya Thackeray was allowed to travel in the car of the Maharashtra Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Jal Bhushan building and gallery at the Maharashtra Raj Bhavan. He also inaugurated the Sant Tukaram Maharaj Temple at Dehu in Pune.

The Jal Bhushan Building has been the official residence of the Governor of Maharashtra since 1885. This old building has been renovated. In August 2019, the President laid the foundation stone of the new building. The new building has been constructed in keeping with the tradition of the old building. In 2016, when Vidyasagar Rao was the governor, a secret chamber was discovered in the Raj Bhavan. This room was used by the British to hide weapons and other items. It was renovated in 2019 to form the gallery.

The gallery commemorates the contributions of freedom fighters and revolutionaries from Maharashtra who worked against the British Army. The Prime Minister will also return to attend the celebrations of the 200 – year – old Gujarati newspaper Mumbai Samachar. The festival is held at the Bandra-Kurla Complex.
