Arrival of the fifth: 5 – 11 – 10 – 7 – 2
As in previous races, the finish took place outside at the Val d’Or racecourse. It is therefore indeed on this portion of the track that arose Together (#5). After having waited in the peloton during a race contested at a fairly slow pace, the 6-year-old gelding, who had never won at this level, easily dominated to finish, thus offering a first quinté to his jockey, Léa Bails, as well as to his trainer, Stéphane Gouyette.
The favorites not having been at the party, Combermere (n° 11) also finished well to take second place. Recently acquired to claim, he justified the confidence placed in him by his new entourage. Romain Legal had also shown confidence in our Sunday edition. Combermere was previously trained by Éric Libaud who narrowly won third place through Full Flow (#10). At the foot of the podium fails Paper Trophy (n° 7), with Grégory Benoist, while Max The Rogue (n° 2), the only one to have managed to progress on the full track, completes the right combination.
