Without succeeding in imposing itself, Antelope Canyon (n°3) had not finished further than fourth since his debut in competition, which earned him the start with the votes of race goers in this quinté disputed by fifteen competitors, after the withdrawal ofAk Ishan (n°12), over the distance of 2,000 m. For his seventh attempt, this 3-year-old gelding has found a just reward for his efforts and achieves a masterstroke for his debut at this level. The pupil of André Fabre allows his jockey, Stéphane Pasquier, to win the 213th quinté of his career and consolidate his leadership in this category.
This son of Kitten’s Joy clearly ahead Sunray (n°2), quickly noticed in the leading group, and Final Gesture (#4). Despite its heaviest weight of 59 kg, Great Rotation (n°1) completes the arrival of the quartet and precedes Gemmyo (n°5), author of a good end of race, which allowed him to be ahead of a neck Foxy Music (n°14).
Object of a strong grip shortly before the start (it went from 15 to 10/1), Bevan (n°6) took the lead mid-straight before falling into line at the time of the sprint. He settles for seventh place.
