Arrival of the fifth : 4 – 10 – 12 – 7 – 2
Before the gala meeting scheduled for this Sunday in the temple of trotting, the quinté of the day was set at the racecourse of Compiègne (Oise) and honored the association “Beyond the tracks” which works for the reconversion race horses. Among the sixteen competitors in the long distance of 2,800 m, it is Goya Lady (n°4) which proved to be the strongest. After having bided his time in the peloton, the partner of Gregory Benoist went on the offensive halfway through the finish line before easily creating the decision in the final hectometre, which allowed him to win his first straight for his tenth participation.
Presented by Yann Barberot, this 6-year-old gelding is very easily ahead Utamaro (n°10), quickly noticed in the leading group and which confirms its current good dispositions. One of the facilitators, Paper Trophy (n°12) was very brave all along the straight and retained third place. The photograph was necessary to decide between Legend (#7) and Berkane (n°2), separated by only one head and which complete in this order the arrival of the fifth. Disappointment with the favourite, Almacado Gree (n°6) who was not able to be threatening in the final phase.
