Arrival of the fifth: 7 – 9 – 5 – 3 – 1
Fourth in the Prix de la Californie, this winter on the sands of Cagnes-sur-Mer, Josephino (n° 7) had just made an interesting reappearance in a claiming race at Deauville (Calvados). It was therefore a good omen for this quinté. “I had been put in confidence by his entourage, cowardly, at the microphone of Equidia, Théo Bachelot, his partner of the day. Mickaël (Barzalona) had loved the horse the last time. He only repeated his previous good performances and won by a bit of a margin. The first attempt by Ingrid Janackova-Koplikova’s pupil therefore turned into a masterstroke and enabled her trainer to win her first event race at the same time, while her jockey now has 54 to her name.
After health problems, Alexei (No. 9) confirms its return to the forefront and ultimately narrowly fails for success. He dominates Ciccio Boy (n° 5), which was slow to find the opening before finishing very well. The favorite of the race thus takes care of his statistics in fifths by finishing for the fifth time in the right combination in eight attempts. Dar Toungi (n° 3) fails at the foot of the podium and is ahead of the top-weight of the event, Parchment (n° 1).
