Arrival of the fifth: 16 – 7 – 1 – 9 – 2
After his second place in a quinté at 49/1, on the Chantilly racecourse, Baby Sim (n° 16) was to confirm that this performance would not remain without a future. Much more played than recently (8.6/1), the student of Joeri Goossens fulfilled his contract perfectly by winning this sprint event in a good way, contested on a straight course. “The peloton of the rope was going faster than us, deciphers Aurélien Lemaitre, the winning jockey at the microphone of Equidia. I was forced to shift from the back of King’s court to catch them. Then he was super brave to go to the post. This is the first success at this level for Baby Sim, as well as for his trainer. Aurélien Lemaître brings his score to 37 in this category.
For his first try in fifths, Queen Of Speed (n° 7) achieves a very good value and grabs a promising second place after evolving on the rope side. The same tactic adopted by Super Khali (n° 1), associated with Christophe Soumillon and who comes to style on the post, Detesnouvelles (#9). The latter caused a sensation at 73/1. The favourite, King’s court (No. 2), he got stuck in the last meters of the race after leading the peloton from the outside but managed to keep fifth place in this quinté.
