At 8 years old, Eurêka Vrie (#13) looks better than ever and confirms it outing after outing. Well engaged in this contested event over 2,850m at the Paris-Vincennes racecourse (12th century), he showed superiority, winning without firing a shot, led to perfection by Anthony Barrier. If the latter rarely puts himself forward, he has once again proven, if need be, that he is indeed one of the safe bets in the driver squad. For his part, the trainer of the winner, Thomas Chalon, declared on the microphone of Equidia: “The horse was very good, because he came at the time when things were going fastest. Then he was brave. I’m living a bit of a dream with him. We form a good tandem. »
As he attacked the future winner, the favourite, Fepson (No. 15), galloped into the final phase, whileEsteban Jiel (No. 12) finished strong to take the first runner-up. In retreat, Good Express (#4) and Flash Gordon (No. 2), who were among the less wealthy competitors of the lot, obtained third and fourth place respectively, while Aeolian de Chenu (n° 14), driven by Alexandre Abrivard, must content itself with completing the right combination.
