Arrival of the quinté: 6 – 4 – 3 – 13 – 9

After the success of Los Angeles under the control of Christophe Soumillon in the Critérium de Saint-Cloud and that of Sunway in the Critérium International, two Groups I reserved for the young generation of 2-year-olds, the Sunday quinté was reserved for mares at occasion of the Livestock Prize. Contested on soft ground over the distance of 2,500 m, this coveted handicap was won by Lili Blue (n°6). After biding her time in the peloton, this 8-year-old mare, supplemented by her trainer, Bruno Audouin, took the best around the post, which allowed her to win for the first time at this level. “For a moment, I thought I was beaten,” admitted Marie Vélon, “but her courage allowed her to win. » And to conclude with a smile “The Prix de l’Élevage is always a fine quinté. I am even more delighted as I have never before worked for the trainer of this 8 year old mare. »

Only a neck behind the winner, Tarajal (n°4) confirms her rise after winning a quinté this summer on the Clairefontaine track (Calvados). The partner of Sylvain Ruis precedes by a short head Qasida (n°3), who had only run three times and who should soon find his day at this level. After galloping at the rear for a long time, La Diva d’Alben (n°13) and Vaydena (n°9) finished in a pleasant action and completed, in this order, the arrival of the quinté.
