The University of Naples Federico II is looking for partners interested in its new project of a National Center of Technologies for Agriculture – Agritech. On December 18, the Ministry of University and Research published the Decree for the presentation of intervention proposals for the strengthening of research structures and creation of R&D ‘national champions’ on some Key Enabling Technologies. AND Federico II announces that it will propose a National Center (Cn) of Technologies for Agriculture – Agritech. The university explains that it will present a project proposal that you see together Research Centers, universities, private entities that have great skills in the agri-food sector, to respond to the requests of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Creating national research centers capable of reaching, through the collaboration of universities, research centers and companies, a critical threshold of research and innovation capacity is, in fact, the” objective of the Pnrr of the Ministry of University and Research which is planning the creation of 5 National Centers ciasc
one of which will be dedicated to the creation of a Research Program consistent with the priorities of the European research agenda and with the contents of the National Research Plan 2021-2027. In this context, the Federico II project focuses on 5 macro-objectives: to improve sustainable productivity and promote resilience to climate change; reduce waste and environmental impact; develop circular economy strategies, sustainable development of marginal areas, promote safety, traceability and typicality in the agri-food chains.
The Neapolitan University underlines that Frederick II’s Expression of Interest is aimed at private subjects who are interested in the issues of the research center and who intend to collaborate with Agritech in the future. as they intend to participate in the developments of the Cn in terms of knowledge of the results of the research, of the activities of the living labs and of technological innovations, and to enhance the results of the Research Program.
