The Poco F4 smartphone has appeared on benchmark website Geekbench with key details ahead of its launch. As a reminder, the Poco F4 and Poco F4 Pro were certified by multiple websites earlier this week. Not long ago, Poco unveiled the X4 Pro 5G and M4 Pro 4G smartphones globally. M4 Pro 4G is already official in India. Now, some reports claim that the X4 Pro 5G is heading to India as well.
Apart from that, the Chinese smartphone company is preparing to unveil its flagship F series smartphones for global markets. Poco F4 series smartphones will be launched later this year. Unfortunately, details about the exact launch schedule of the Poco F4 series are still scarce. However, the lineup could debut in the coming days, given that the vanilla Poco F4 model has passed through the Geekbench website. The Geekbench listing means that the launch of the phone is just around the corner.
Moreover, the Geekbench listing sheds light on the specifications of the Poco F4 and reveals other important pieces of information. The smartphone is scheduled to be launched in several regions including Europe soon. However, details about the launch of the Poco F4 India are few and far between at the moment. However, the company can reveal the launch date of the F4 series smartphones soon. Meanwhile, the main specifications of the vanilla F4 model have surfaced online, courtesy of Geekbench listing.
Poco F4 Spotted on Geekbench
First, the Geekbench listing reveals that the vanilla model bears the model number 22021211RG. Apart from that, it confirms that the Snapdragon 870 SoC is under the hood. The maximum clock speed of this processor is 3.19GHz, which is paired with the Adreno 650 GPU. Moreover, the phone comes with 8GB of RAM, and it runs Android 12 out of the box. Android will have MIUI 13 on top. Notably, the F4 unit spotted on the Geekbench website is codenamed “munch”.
Redmi K40S bears the same codename. As a reminder, the Redmi K40S made its debut at the K50 series launch event held in China earlier this month. Moreover, Poco F4 can be launched in global markets as the rebranded Redmi K405. If this speculation proves correct, the Poco F4 will come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that offers Full HD + resolution and 120Hz refresh.
Furthermore, this screen will provide a brightness of 1,300 nits and is HDR10+ certified. As for optics, the phone will have three cameras on the back. This rear camera setup will consist of a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. Up front, the phone has a 20MP camera for taking selfies and video calls. Furthermore, the phone has a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging to draw juices.
Other notable features include a fingerprint scanner on the side and dual speakers. Finally, the phone weighs about 195 grams.
