Islamabad: Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) has become a sore spot for Pakistan these days. The people of PoK, fed up with the atrocities of the Pakistani Army and Police, have started fighting from side to side. The situation is so bad that people are chasing and killing Pakistani paramilitary forces and police personnel. Meanwhile, tension for Pakistan has also increased in Balochistan. Baloch leader and social activist Mehrang Baloch has vowed to protest against the fencing of Gwadar port city. He said that this step of Pakistan is a strategy to force the Baloch community to disperse, so that the land of Gwadar can be handed over to China.

What did Mehrang Baloch say

In a statement on Twitter, Baloch leader Mehrang Baloch also announced to organize a protest by Baloch Yakzehat Committee (BYC) in Gwadar on Sunday on this matter. In his post on The population will, under no circumstances, hand over our lands and seas to foreigners, nor will we allow any such project to succeed, Baloch Yakzehti Committee (BYC) is launching a resistance movement against the fencing of Gwadar.”

Baloch anger flares up against China

In a previous statement, he had said, ‘We will not remain silent under any circumstances against the plan to fence Gwadar and hand it over to China in the name of development and security, but we will mount strong public resistance.’ Apart from Mehrang, another leader from Balochistan, Sammi Din Baloch, had raised the issue of forced disappearances that the Baloch community has been enduring for a long time. In his statement he said, “The demand for recovery of missing persons in Balochistan is receiving international support and attention. In retaliation, on the one hand, the Pakistani administration has launched its campaign to justify the atrocities committed on us by its proxies Is done.” And on the other hand, it is using its entire machinery to discredit and downplay the entire issue of enforced disappearances.”

Kidnapping of people is a big issue in Balochistan

Mahang Baloch said, “In Balochistan, none of the abducted persons are abducted from isolated places. They are generally abducted from their own homes, offices, markets and educational institutions. Most of the time, these persons are kidnapped in front of their family members.” He said, “It happens very rarely, but sometimes, some of these persons are released. Most of them are subjected to mental and physical torture. Families of many abducted people are still protesting , and sometimes those who are lucky enough to return report being captured and tortured. The only question here is that if all the abducted Balochis are terrorists, then who are those released by the army and the media and the administration? Why not ask these people where they were?
