There is not much enthusiasm for buying electric cars in Poland, but that does not prevent the country from being one of the world’s leading producers of the batteries with which they work.

Thanks to numerous investments, Poland has gone faster than its European neighbors and even than the United States. In particular with its gigantic factory of the South Korean group LG in the south of the country. It is the largest factory for electric car batteries in Europe and investments are constantly coming in, whether from the European Union, the Polish government or the South Korean company itself.

Thanks to all these efforts, Poland has multiplied, in six years, its exports of lithium batteries by 38. It represents more than 2% of all the country exports.

Automakers sensed the bargain and quickly announced big investments in electric vehicle production plants. They know that theEuropean Union has banned the sale of combustion engine cars pour 2035.

But Poland should not remain on the podium of the biggest producers of lithium batteries for very long. The race has been on for a few years, and in Europe, many factories should see the light of day in the coming years and drastically increase the continent’s total production. Without worrying the China, which will remain number 1 in the sector.
