Poland and its allies scrambled planes in connection with what Warsaw claims is the activity of Russian long-range aviation. This was stated by the Operational Command of the Armed Forces (AF) of Poland, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.
“We warn that Polish and allied aircraft are operating in Polish airspace, which may lead to increased noise levels, especially in the south-eastern part of the country. This night (April 6, 2024 – TASS note) there is increased activity of long-range aviation of the Russian Federation” , says the command in a message on X (formerly Twitter).
The Polish Armed Forces have repeatedly adopted this measure in recent weeks. On March 24, the Operational Command of the Polish Army reported a violation of the country’s airspace on the border with Ukraine early in the morning of the same day. According to his version, the object flew into Polish airspace near the village of Oserdów in the Lublin Voivodeship on the border with Ukraine and left after 39 seconds. In its statement, the command claims that we are talking about a Russian cruise missile. No evidence was provided for these claims.
