The General Staff announced today the number of troops mobilized for the operation, while Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that by tomorrow morning their total number would increase to 16,000.
The armed forces provided helicopters to transport food and for evacuation, as well as drones to monitor the situation, the General Staff announced today.
They also opened a field hospital in the southern city of Nysa to help those affected by the disaster, as well as field kitchens to prepare hot food, the General Staff said.
